Terms of Service

By accessing or using the Service, you confirm that you are at least 13 years of age, have the legal capacity to enter into a binding agreement, and agree to be bound by these Terms and our Privacy Policy.

Couple Journey is a private, shared journaling and memory-keeping application designed for couples. It enables two people to create a shared account, upload and organise memories, write love notes, plan future adventures, and receive AI-generated recaps and highlights of their journey together.

Creating an account

You must provide a valid email address and create a secure password. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account.

Couple accounts

Each couple account is shared between two people. You may invite one partner by sharing an invite code generated within the app. You are responsible for how your partner uses the shared account.

Account security

If you suspect unauthorised access to your account, contact us immediately at support@couplejourney.app.

Your ownership

You retain full ownership of all photos, videos, notes, and other content you upload to the Service (“User Content”). By uploading User Content, you grant us a limited, non-exclusive licence to store, display, and process it solely for the purpose of providing the Service to you and your partner.

Content responsibilities

You are solely responsible for your User Content. You agree not to upload content that:

• Violates any applicable law or regulation.
• Infringes the intellectual property rights of any third party.
• Contains malware, viruses, or other harmful code.
• Is defamatory, obscene, or otherwise objectionable.

Removing content

You may delete your content at any time through the Service.

The Service includes AI-powered features, including monthly recap generation, story highlights, and place enrichment. These features are powered by third-party AI providers.

By using AI features, you acknowledge that:

• Relevant text data from your memories may be sent to third-party AI providers for processing.
• AI-generated content is provided as-is and may contain inaccuracies or errors.
• We are not responsible for the accuracy, completeness, or appropriateness of AI-generated content.
• Photos and videos are not transmitted to AI providers.

Free plan

Couple Journey offers a free tier with defined limits on the number of memories, photos, videos, and storage you can use.

Paid plans

Paid plans (Couple Plus, Couple Lifetime) offer expanded limits and additional features. Current pricing is available on our pricing page.

Billing

Recurring paid plans are billed in advance for the selected billing period. By subscribing, you authorise us to charge your payment method on a recurring basis until you cancel.

Cancellation & refunds

You may cancel your subscription at any time. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period and you will retain access until then. We do not provide refunds for partial billing periods unless required by applicable law.

The Service — including its design, code, branding, and documentation — is owned by Couple Journey and is protected by applicable intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, distribute, sublicence, or reverse-engineer any part of the Service.

Your User Content remains your property. We claim no ownership over content you upload to the Service.

You agree not to:

• Use the Service for any unlawful purpose or in violation of these Terms.
• Attempt to gain unauthorised access to any part of the Service or its infrastructure.
• Interfere with or disrupt the integrity or performance of the Service.
• Use automated tools (bots, scrapers) to extract data from the Service.
• Impersonate any person or entity or misrepresent your affiliation with any person or entity.

Violation of these restrictions may result in immediate termination of your account without prior notice.

We strive to keep the Service available at all times but do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free access. The Service may be unavailable due to planned maintenance, technical issues, or circumstances beyond our reasonable control.

We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Service at any time. Where possible, we will provide reasonable advance notice of significant changes.

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Couple Journey and its affiliates, officers, employees, agents, and licensors shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages — including loss of data, loss of profits, or loss of goodwill — arising out of or in connection with your use of, or inability to use, the Service.

Our total liability to you for any claim arising under these Terms shall not exceed the greater of the amount you paid us in the three months prior to the claim or USD 50.

The Service is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement.

By you

You may stop using the Service and request deletion of your account at any time by contacting support@couplejourney.app.

By us

We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service at any time if we believe you have violated these Terms, or for any other reason at our sole discretion, with or without prior notice. Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately.

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Singapore, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any disputes arising under or in connection with these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Singapore.

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will revise the effective date at the top of this page. For material changes, we will make reasonable efforts to notify you in advance. Your continued use of the Service after updated Terms are posted constitutes your acceptance of the changes.
